Story I am writing possibly.
Posted here because Blubs said "Sure."
Warning: It is utter crap.
The maidens giggled, laughed, shoving around the unfortunate males caught in their path. Out of all of them, one seemed to take it in poor manner, frowning upon them, muttering to himself.
But they paid no attention to it, for he was always muttering; about what, however, they didn’t know. After all, the only thing that reached their ears was the gossip that rampaged around the room, spreading lies about everyone. Didn’t you hear? So-and-so was caught in inappropriate acts with their brother! Both guys! No, no, that’s hardly news- now, this tidbit was prime, the king is going around with a Miss Catherine Howard! The Catherine Howard!
Two of the males, two of the ones who didn’t mind being bumped around, partook in a hushed conversation consisting mostly of trying not to yell while arguing at the same time. Red mingled with green in a stunning clash of hair as their heads pressed together, complementing each other, but the looks on their faces showed nothing but the desire to rip the other’s heart out, red and black eyes respectively tightening.
A battered looking boy, the one who was mumbling, slapped at a girl whose hands were drifting too near him, intent on finding his pockets. Undeterred, the girl merely smirked, kissed him on the nose, and made off with a good portion of his belongings while he stood there, mouth agape, before wandering off.
A demure girl giggled at the scene, bumping into another girl. Both were wearing pink, but their manners couldn’t be any more different- the taller, slightly more disagreeable of the two immediately began making snide comments about anything from her nose to the toes the taller couldn’t see. The girl sniffed, looking at the woman with undisguised anger.
A curly-haired boy smiled weakly at a black-haired girl, whose hair could be considered the opposite to his blond. She pushed him jovially, before frowning at his sudden, downtrodden expression, doing her best to cheer the poor kid back up.
There were two others of interest, two redhead women sitting around, complaining about the chill. Both preferred the heat, and indeed, they seemed like soul mates, except for the fact one was more reptilian in nature, less loyal, a bit of a swelled ego. Between pleasant conversations, they bickered, nearly coming close to punching one another.
All were there for one thing, the gossip. After all, who came to a party for the dancing, the socializing, and the food? Parties were the best places to gather gossip.[/ul]
