Not worth the chance.
But I've never continuously restarted my game for a shiny pokemon.

Lol, I'm still restarting my game.
So far no luck.
Got an awesome female Torchic, but gave it up.
+can't hack now+
I breezed right through them on Platinum- a Gyarados will do wonders.
My team: Infernape, Crobat, Gyarados, Leafeon, Hippowdon, and Luxray.
Though, you gotta make sure you kill it with one move; Thunder Fang, ouch.

I beat the crap out of Cynthia first time. Took a while, lot of careful descisions, and I was so happy when I made it. :D I think I used Luxray x Garchomp tag team and others as fresh meat unless they were gonna prove useful... I always have a bait for when I need to heal. I should probably make it as high a level as the rest, though, since one turn really isn't useful when all the pokemon you need are fainted.... XD

You should have seen me the first couple times I tried to beat her and the 'Four. xD Then, I didn't use ANY items. At all. They just sat there and rotted in my bag. *laughs 'cause it sounds nasty* I always lost once I got to like, Bertha 'r something. xD Then I was like. "Waaaait. Wut about this Potion and Revive?" Gawd I was stupid.  |
